Rachel's Peg dolls

I used to love making peg dolls a few years ago, I think girls have loved making peg dolls for as long as there have been wooden pegs. Early pegs where carved out of wood. Peddlers sold them or people made their own.

A very old peg doll

This peg doll was made in about 1830. You can see this one and other very old peg dolls here.

My first ever peg dolls were made with my Mum. We made a Knight and his Lady 🙂

Archery is my new interest and I am trying to get to the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Please take a look at my blog http://rachelburge.wordpress.com/

But this blog is to inspire other young girls like myself a few years ago to love and learn though craft. I started making peg dolls from all around South America.

I am also making fantasy peg dolls: fairies, knights, princesses.

I hope you have fun making dolls and having a look around my blogs.
